Volunteers

The NCUSC board has been extremely busy and we need your help. Here is a sample of projects we get involved with.

Next season we have decided to introduce a long sleeve jersey to complement our striped jersey. This will serve as an “away” jersey as well can be worn under our regular jersey in colder weather.
In January we hosted 3 coaches meetings to improve communication between coaches and the executive. These meetings were very well received and we will be planning more sessions like this.
Our flag is now flying high over Town Center look for it!
Planning is already under way for our 3rd annual kick off event held Friday September 10th, 2010 to celebrate all the work that has been accomplished to date
We have a new web site which will allow us to publish information much faster than in the past.
We have a special promotion on for our Academy run by SFU run by Shelley Howieson
We are planning a “fun day” for the mini’s and asking everyone to bring a friend out to see what soccer is all about. Stay tuned for the date for this.
Tryouts will run from April 6th, 2010 thru to May 5th, 2010
Registration for the 2010/11 season will open in the beginning of March and we are looking forward to some great soccer.
We have asked all coaches to apply for next years coaching positions the deadline is February 12th, 2010 and we will be reviewing to ensure all our coaches have required coaching credentials.
We will be hosting our mini windup Feb 27th at town center come on over and see out little guys and girls show us what they have learned.
There is much more work to be done and we need your help to accomplish our goals.

Coaches and Managers

We want to continue making improvements and to grow North Coquitlam United Soccer club and we need your help, we have many dedicated volunteers who provide coaching for our children, these coaches are supported by team managers. Coaches and managers are the backbone of our club. NCUSC is committed to education and support of our coaches and as such we offer courses to develop our coaches especially the non-competitive ones who are just starting off. We also have a tremendous support of our new technical director. We have sent out coaching application forms to all parents please fill in and return if you are available and interested.

If you would like more information please contact Brian Dingman our Head Coach for more information.

Executive and Volunteers

These are the people who work tirelessly in the background supporting our teams, coaches and provide all the necessary administration. NCUSC currently has several vacant positions that, VP Non competitive Boys, VP Non competitive Girls, VP Competitive Girls, Gym Coordinator, and several other coordinators positions. We also need to groom people to take over areas such as Registration, field coordination, referee’s scheduling, secretary and treasurer. Some of the people currently doing this work have been involved with our club for over 20 years and we need people to step up learn these positions and eventually take over.. These positions are critical to the success of our club. Please contact any of the current executive if you are interested. We plan on offering a phase in approach and will have junior (in-training) positions available so that there is a significant overlap to pass on the experience. These positions require dedication, vision, the ability to work with others and above all offer significant reward in keeping our club vibrant and growing.

Tournament Coordinators

Now that we have a tournament facility in Town Center another very important position is tournament coordinators to put on various tournaments.

Please contact any of our executives in our contact list page if you are interested.

We would be pleased to discuss the opportunities in greater detail. Your help is welcomed and would be appreciated!
